Peptide Reconstitution & Concentration Calculator

Use this interactive laboratory tool to calculate reconstitution dilutions with Bacteriostatic Water and precise syringe unit graduations.

Reconstitution Input Parameters

e.g. 5mg, 10mg, 30mg, 50mg
e.g. 1 mL, 2 mL, 3 mL
Note: 1000 mcg = 1 mg

Solution Concentration

5000 mcg/mL
U-100 Insulin Syringe Mark (100 IU = 1 mL):
5.0 IU
Volume: 0.050 mL
Formula Used:
Concentration = (Vial mg × 1000) ÷ BAC Water mL
Syringe Units = (Target Dose mcg ÷ Concentration) × 100

Common Easy-to-Calculate Reconstitution Ratios

Based on a standard U-100 insulin syringe (1 mL = 100 units):

Vial Size BAC Water Added Concentration 10 Units Draw 20 Units Draw 40 Units Draw
5 mg Vial 1.0 mL 5.0 mg/mL 0.5 mg (500 mcg) 1.0 mg (1000 mcg) 2.0 mg
5 mg Vial 2.0 mL 2.5 mg/mL 0.25 mg (250 mcg) 0.5 mg (500 mcg) 1.0 mg
10 mg Vial 2.0 mL 5.0 mg/mL 0.5 mg 1.0 mg (1000 mcg) 2.0 mg (2000 mcg)
10 mg Vial 1.0 mL 10.0 mg/mL 1.0 mg (1000 mcg) 2.0 mg (2000 mcg) 4.0 mg

4 Basic Laboratory Mixing Steps

1. Wipe Clean: Clean stoppers of both vials with alcohol swab.
2. Equalize Pressure: Inject equal air into BAC water vial before drawing water.
3. Add Gently: Stream water down the inside glass wall at an angle.
4. Mix Thoroughly: Swirl vial gently until clear. Never shake.
